IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) 

Here we are providing you details of IBPS PO exam. Probationary officer is recruited through IBPS and get post anywhere in India in a public sector bank according to the preference mention by the Candidate at the time of filling online application form and marks scored by a candidate. 

Eligibility criteria: - 
1) Qualification - Degree (graduation) with minimum 60% (55%for SC/ST/PWD) marks in any discipline. From a recognized University or Institute or any equivalent qualification as such recognized by Central Government. 
2) Age – Minimum 20 year and Maximum 28 years 

Salary: - 
Basic pay: 23700 
Dearness allowance: 8600 
Including HRA, CCA, Special allowance IBPS PO get 30000 – 34000 (approx.) 

Exam pattern: - 
IBPS PO exam is conducted by IBPS in two phases 
1) Prelim examination (objective type) 
2) Mains examination (objective type) 
3) Interview Phase is eliminated from the financial year 2016-17 as notified by IBPS

Syllabus of both the phase of examination section wise is similar 

Reasoning Section 
This section is consisting of two-part
1) Reasoning based on rules – Syllogism, Analytical decision-making, Input-Output, Coding, Inequalities, Arrangement (circular linear), Puzzle 
2) Reasoning based on logic – Assumption, the forcefulness of arguments, Evaluating Inferences, causes and effect, Course of action, data sufficiency. 

Quantitative Aptitude 

Data interpretation, quadratic equation, average, ratio and proportion, percentage, number System, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Time and work, pipes and Cisterns, Time and Distance, Boats and Streams, Sequence and Series 

English section 
Reading comprehension, error finding, sentence improvement, vocabulary, fills in the blank based on Vocabulary and grammar 

General awareness 
Banking awareness, current affairs of last one year 

Computer awareness 
This section includes basic computer related knowledge like hardware, software, Networking, etc. 

Time allotment section wise for IBPS PO
